Carolyn F. Williams, 78, died on Monday, April 6, 2026, at her residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Sunday, December 28, 1947, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Joe Bane and the late Betty Crouch Bane.
Carolyn was known for always putting others before herself. Whether it was offering a helping hand, a listening ear, or a comforting word, she made sure those around her felt cared for and valued. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, especially during family gatherings, which she cherished deeply. Those moments spent together meant the world to her.
She had a special love for her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride. Time spent with them was among her greatest treasures, and she made each one feel truly special.
In her quieter moments, Carolyn enjoyed watching classic television, especially Gunsmoke, a show she never seemed to tire of and one that brought her simple pleasure.
Graveside services for Mrs. Williams will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Mr. Jerry Lemons. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty-nine years, J. B. Williams of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Amy Leggett (Mike) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; she was "Granny" to her four grandchildren, Abigail Williams, Emily Franklin (Dylan), Garrett Leggett and Conner Leggett and five great-grandchildren, with one to join the family soon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Lynn Williams and one brother, Bobby Bane.
