Brent Figgins

Brent Figgins, 65, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Signature Health in Ridgely, Tennessee.

Born Monday, September 24, 1956, he was the son of the late James Rover Figgins and the late Bobbie Hopper Figgins Flatt. Mr. Figgins was a former employee of Colonial Rubber Works and Eaton Corporation.  He was an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Graveside services for Mr. Figgins will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, March 28, 2022, at McCorkle Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Dr. Bill Oakley. Visitation for Mr. Figgins will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, from 5:30 PM until 7;00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

Mr. Figgins is survived by one son, Jimmy Figgins; one daughter, Kate Figgins; one nephew, Shane Simpson (Sara) of Newbern, Tennessee; one niece, Cassie Parkin (Joe) of Nashville, Tennessee; one great-grandnephew, Jacob Simpson and three great-grandnieces, Taylar Roland, Abby Parkin and Emma Parkin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Vicky Sharon Sherron; his step-father, James Neely Flatt and a nephew, Lukas Simpson.

Honoring Mr. Figgins as pallbearers will be Jacob Simpson, Mike Woody, Brad Woody and John Flatt.
