Brenda Sue Ramey Obituary

Brenda Sue Ramey, 74, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Monday, August 6, 1951, in Dyer County, Tennessee.  She was the daughter of the late George Bud Nolan and the late Rossie V. Chapman Nolan.  Mrs. Ramey worked at Thomas Industries for over twenty years.

Brenda Sue lived a life centered around simple joys, adventure, and the deep love she had for her family. She had a special passion for shopping and loved visiting different cities in search of unique finds. Whether browsing flea markets or exploring yard sales, Brenda found happiness in the treasures she discovered and in the time spent enjoying those moments.

Over the years, she and her husband made many memories together fishing—something they both truly enjoyed. Being on the water brought her peace, but nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren. Brenda was all about her grandbabies; she delighted in taking them out for “junk food” and doing anything and everything that made them smile. Time spent with them was her greatest joy, and she treasured each moment.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ramey will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 in the Chapel of  Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.  Officiating the service will be Rev. Roy Rainey.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee.  Visitation for Mrs. Ramey will be from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband of thirty nine years, George Ramey of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Teresa Rickman of Newbern, Tennessee; she was "MawMaw" to her three grandchildren, Kayla Lawson (Michael), Eric Barbee (Jacob Barbee) and Kraig Rickman and four great grandchildren and she also leaves her nephew and his family, Tyson and Megan Ramey and their  two daughters Whitlee and Marlee who she considered her own and loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, David McGuire, two brothers, Jimmy Nolan and Bo Nolan and two sisters, Judy Wilson and Roxanna Raegan.
