Brenda Lynn Canada

Brenda Lynn Canada, 70, of Obion, Tennessee, died on Monday, April 24, 2023, at her residence.

Born Tuesday, March 24, 1953, in Obion County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Mattie Bessie Blair McCurdy. Mrs. Canada was a retired employee of Keneric in Obion, Tennessee. She was a member of the Greater Vision Church in Troy, Tennessee. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, but the times she cherished the most were those spent with her family.

Funeral services for Mrs. Canada will be held at  1:00 PM on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the Greater Vision Church located at 701 Mary Jane Street in Troy, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Bro. Robin Rogers and Bro. Carmen Dennison. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Obion, Tennessee. Visitation for Mrs. Canada will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Thursday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM both at the Greater Vision Church in Troy, Tennessee.                          .  

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of twenty years, Billy Canada of Obion, Tennessee; one son, Jimmie L. Goodman of Obion, Tennessee; one daughter, Lisa F. Ramsey of Ridgely, Tennessee, one brothers, Jerry Don McCurdy of Newbern, Tennessee, one sister, Connie L. Scott of Obion, Tennessee and she was "Nanny" to her four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one son, Gregory W. Goodman; four brothers, James R. Dean, Hershel Dean, Carlton Ray McCurdy and Jimmy D. Dean; and two sisters, Betty Lou McCurdy, and Linda Faye Suppipat.

Honoring Mrs. Canada as pallbearers will be Mike Goff, Nate Forrester, Jamie Powell, Kyle Kirk, Tony Prince and Justin Forrester. Honorary pallbearer will be Mark Gray.
