Brenda Beasley

Brenda Godwin Beasley, 75, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Friday, February 26, 2021, at her residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, July 22, 1945 in Newbern, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and  Virginia  Godwin. Mrs. Beasley was a retired nurse for Dr. Stevens Melton at MedSouth in Dyersburg, Tennessee. She was a  member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Funeral services for Mrs. Beasley will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 1, 2021 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Neal Chatham and Rev. Annetta Camp. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

She leaves to cherish her memory,one son Steven Beasley (Tim Tilley) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Joanna Grathwell (Grant) of Big Sandy, Tennessee; one brother, Don Godwin (Mary) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, two grandchildren, Dalton Grathwell and Jonah Grathwell and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Beasley; one son, Mark Beasley and a brother, Bobby Godwin.

Honoring Mrs. Beasley as pallbearers will be Eddie Keel, Ronnie Robertson, Dalton Grathwell, Mike Kesterson, Michael Dennison and John Ketchum.

The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Dyer County Humane Society, P. O. Box 223, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38025 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959.
