Brad Earp Obituary

Brad Earp, 48, a devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend and hardworking man, passed away on May 17, 2026, at his residence in Newbern, Tennessee.

Born on January 28, 1978, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Robert Anthony Earp and the late Shari Butzler Ketchum. Brad worked as a supervisor in the coil winding department at Ermco in Dyersburg, for twenty-seven years, where he was respected for his strong work ethic, leadership, and dedication.

He was a man who truly loved life's simple pleasures-spending time with family and friends, enjoying long days at the lake, being out on the water, riding side-by-sides, and embracing the outdoors whenever he could. Whether relaxing by the lake or sharing stories around a fire, Brad treasured every moment spent with the people he loved most.

He also had a deep passion for firearms and shooting sports, a hobby he enjoyed for many years alongside close friends.  His passion for firearms and shooting sports went far beyond a hobby. He was a certified USCCA instructor and proudly served as a firearms instructor for C & D Threat Solutions, where he enjoyed teaching and training others in firearm safety and responsibility. He also completed certifications and advanced training through Hilltop Firearms Training Center and was a member of the Armed Response Training Academy. Brad valued discipline, preparedness, and the friendships he made through the shooting community.”

Above all, Brad was a family man who loved deeply, worked tirelessly, and made everyone around him feel welcome, valued, and cared for. No matter how busy life became, he was someone others could always count on.  He was known for his humble spirit, kind heart, strength, generosity, and quiet wisdom. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Funeral services for Brad will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2026, in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home, with Pastor Jacob Winegardner officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

Brad is survived by his loving wife, Kasey Woodley Earp of Newbern, Tennessee; three sons, Colton Earp (Trinity Dunn) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Zack Lamb (Skye Stow) of Ridgely, Tennessee, and Brandon Lamb (Hannah Hawks) of Newbern, Tennessee; two daughters, Cayla Earp of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and Rylee Earp of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, John Earp (Mandie) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two uncles, Jeff Earp of Newbern, Tennessee, and Greg Earp of Ooltewah, Tennessee; two nephews, Lane Earp and Waylon Earp; one niece Valylee Earp and mother-in-law, Tami Wooley.
