Bobby Ralph Rushing, 71, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Okeena Health and Rehabilitation of Dyersburg.
Born on Tuesday, July 6, 1954, in Dyersburg, he was the son of the late Malcom Paul Rushing and the late Doris Greer Rushing. For forty years, Bobby proudly owned and operated KC’s One-Stop in Dyersburg, where he became a familiar and friendly face to many in the community.
Bobby was a true free spirit, a hardworking and selfless man who deeply loved his family. He was a devoted father and great-grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his children and great-grandchildren. Some of his happiest times were spent on his pontoon boat at Kentucky Lake, surrounded by family and friends, enjoying the peace of the water and the beauty of the outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting and found great joy in nature. Bobby also enjoyed playing music, especially the song “Simple Man,” which perfectly reflected the way he lived his life — with humility, strength, and heart. Bobby had a gift for laughter — you were almost guaranteed a smile in his presence.
Bobby will be remembered for his generous spirit, his strong work ethic, his selfless love for his family, and the laughter he so easily shared.
