Bobby Holt Payne

Bobby Holt Payne,43, of Obion, Tennessee, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025, in
Obion County, Tennessee from injuries he sustained in a two-vehicle accident.
 
Born Thursday, June 17, 1982, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, he was the son of the late
David Glen Payne and Joann Harper Payne. 
 
Bobby’s passion for the outdoors in the sport of hunting and fishing is one that he
cherished. He enjoyed learning about and purchasing different firearms as well as meeting
different folks from all over to trade and sell firearms. Bobby had a love for good country
music, and he attended many Luke Combs concerts in multiple cities. You could find Bobby
in the warm summer months driving the backroads in his beloved orange Jeep. He was a
proud member of the 45 South Off Road Jeep Club. Bobby was employed by ERMCO in
Dyersburg, Tennessee at the time of his passing.

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Blakely Payne of Obion, Tennessee; three sons, Mason
Brinkley of Union City, Tennessee; Memphis Payne of Ocala, Florida and Austin Payne of
Clayton, North Carolina. He is also survived by his mother, Joann Payne of Rives,
Tennessee and two brothers, Matt (Fran) Payne of Rives, Tennessee and Brandon Payne of
New Orleans, Louisiana; five nieces, Autumn Payne of Obion, Tennessee, Britney Payne of
Dickson, Tennessee, Raven Ryan of Windsor, North Carolina, Allison Payne of Martin,
Tennessee and Skye Daniels of Martin, Tennessee; one nephew Hagan(Ally) Payne of
Union City, Tennessee; and his special great niece Harper Payne of Union City, Tennessee
and his two special great nephews Braxton Payne of Obion, Tennessee and Briggs Payne
of Union City, Tennessee. Bobby is also survived by Blakely’s mom, Morgan Wilson and the
love of his life, Sharon Bullion Payne, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation for Mr. Payne will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at
the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, Tennessee with graveside
services being held at 10:00 a.m., at West Hill Cemetery near Rives, Tennessee. Officiating
this service will be Brother Eddie Mallonee and Terry Roncali. Family and friends are asked
to gather at the cemetery.

Pallbearers for Bobby will be Skylar McPherson, Jeremy McCallum, Kraig Rickman,
Brandon Phan, Ken Willi, Hagan Payne, Tra Faulkner and Matthew Hoffman. Honorary
Pallbearers will be Natashia Burroughs, Bobby Gene Harper, Lawrence Ray Harper,
Frankie Harper and the members of ERMCO 3 rd shift three phase plant.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his two grandmothers, Sadie Lucille
White and Laura Betty Payne.
