Bobby Gene Moore, 76, of Union City, Tennessee died on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Monday, February 7, 1949, in Tennessee. He was the son of the late Joe Robert Moore and the late Maudie Christine Cagle Moore.
He was a dedicated farmer and a valued longtime employee of Harold Willis Farms, where he worked for many years. His work ethic, reliability, and love for farming left a lasting impression on those who worked beside him. Mr. Moore found peace and joy in nature. Whether tending to crops or casting a line into his favorite fishing spot, he cherished the quiet, simple moments the outdoors had to offer.
Funeral services for Mr. Moore will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, June 9, 2025, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Mr. Lloyd Moore. Interment will follow in Church Grove Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Moore will he held on Monday from1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He is survived by one son, Terry Gene Moore of Dyer, Tennessee; two daughters, Tammy Faye Davis of Orlando, Florida and Angela Christine Moore of Alamo, Tennessee; two sisters, Patsy Tubbs of Union City, Tennessee and Edna Smith of Hornbeak, Tennessee: his caregiver and niece, Rhonda Moore (Lloyd) of Union City, Tennessee; one grand-daughter, Cheyenne Hill; one grandson, Dekota Davis and a host of extended family that loved him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Moore; one brother, Harvey Moore and two sisters, Carolyn Isom and Ruth Phifer.
