Bobby G. Watson

Bobby G. Watson was born on October 13, 1947, to the union of the late Dewitt Watson and Lelia Mae
Thacker Watson Lovelace. He received his formal education from Dyersburg City Schools. Bobby spent
majority of his adult life in Milwaukee, WI where he worked as an avid welder at EGA Products. Bobby
engaged in hunting and fishing and had an enthusiasm for motorcycles. He was a proud member of The
Hawks Motorcycle Club, Milwaukee Chapter, which he helped establish in 1977. He enjoyed retirement
by retreating to his hometown of Dyersburg.

Bobby departed this life on October 5, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee. He leaves
to cherish in his memory, one son, Marquis Wilburn of Milwaukee WI; his mother, Lelia Mae Thacker
Watson Lovelace of Newbern, TN; four brothers, Robert (Lovie) Watson of Erlanger, KY, Ronnie Watson of
Lexington, KY, Lester Watson of Newbern, TN and Ernie Watson of Dyersburg, TN; two sisters, Mary
Roberson of Dyersburg, TN and Juanita (Terrance) Mannis of Newbern, TN; four grandchildren, Kamaria
Wilburn, Aiden Wilburn, Jayden Wilburn and Xavier Wilburn and a host of extended family and friends.

Bobby was proceeded in death by his father, Dewitt Watson; brother, Jeffrey Watson; sister, Ella Watson
and his stepfather, O.W. Lovelace.

Bobby’s life was a testament to his strength, compassion, and generosity. He touched the lives of many
with his caring nature and unwavering support. Bobby will be remembered by his incredibly kind spirit.

Funeral services for Mr. Watson will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in the Chapel of
Johnson- Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, TN. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM.
Officiating this service will be Bro. Jesse Webb Jr, Ms. Brenda Coleman, Mr. Ronnie Watson, Mr. David
Gilton Sr. and Bro. Tracy Bryant.
