Bobby B. Garrison, 82, of Newbern, Tennessee, loving father, grandfather, great-grand-father, brother and friend, died on Friday, October 16, 2020, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Friday, August 5, 1938 in Obion County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Jim Frank Garrison and the late Ollie B. Fowler Garrison. Mr. Garrison was a giving man, who always thought of others first. He was very knowledgeable about the scriptures and had a passion for teaching and bringing others to Christ. He was an accomplished guitarist and had a love of music all his life. He enjoyed traveling, especially with his granddaughters .Mr. Garrison was a member of Tigrett Church Of Christ.
Graveside services for Mr. Garrison will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Zion Cemetery in Elbridge, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Bro. Shawn Hafley. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 PM unitl 1:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish his memory, three sons, Scott Garrison (Janet) of Pelham, Alabama, Jeff Garrison (Rose) of Newbern, Tennessee and Tracey Garrison (Melissa) of Plant City, Florida; two sisters, Barbara Hutton (Phil) of Jackson, Tennessee and Janice Permenter (Pete) of Newbern, Tennesssee; he was "Papa" to seven grandchildren, Megan Garrison Stroup (Tucker) , Mackenzie Garrison, Makayla Garrison, Ethan Garrison, Eli Garrison, Easton Garrison and Isabella Gentry and two great-grandchildren, Owen Stroup and Leo Stroup.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Garrison and one sister, Shelby Bowlby.
Honoring Mr. Garrison as as pallbearers will be Scott Garrison, Jeff Garrison, Tracey Garrison, Phil Hutton, Pete Permenter, Jackie Brewer, Chad Rice, Lori Holt and Tucker Stroup. Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Allmon and Jere Pierce.
