Bivian "Adair" Forsythe, Jr. , 57 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Tuesday, March 3, 1964 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Bivian "B.A." Forsythe, Sr. and the late Judy Reeves Forsythe. Many of you may remember Adair as a former greeter at Wal-Mart where he made many, many friends. Others may remember him as "the guy" that was always walking around town and so many of you stopped (and even turned around) to give him rides and help him and for that his family is eternally grateful.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Ashleigh Murray of Florida; his sister in love, Doris Forsythe of Finley, two brothers, Scotty Forsythe of Dyersburg and Bradley Forsythe of Memphis; and two sisters, Donna McDivitt and Vivian Forsythe Archie both of Florida. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Stan Forsythe. He also left nieces, nephews and great-nephews, Keith Forsythe (Angie), Kent Forsythe (Whitney) of Finley, Keller McDivitt of Florida, Anne Ladyem McDivitt of Alabama, Rhiana "Ashley" Archie of Melbourne, Australia, Scarlett McClure of Florida, Jane Bradlee Forsythe and Ann Lera Forsythe of Dyersburg.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Dyer County Memorial Gardens in Dyersburg, Tennessee with interment to follow. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery. Officiating this service will be Mr. Kent Forsythe and Mr. Calvin Smith. The family invites friends to come and share their memories of him. Following the graveside service, the family welcomes friends to join them for a Celebration of Life luncheon in Adair's honor (his family and friends know how much he loved church luncheons) at the Independent Free Holiness Church at 1201 Upper Finley Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make donations to Matthew 25:40 who helped Adair on so many occasions.
