Betty Paulette "Paula" Roberts, 63, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at her residence in Newbern, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, February 10, 1957 in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late William Russell Singleteary, Sr. and the late Mary Lou Hummer Singleteary. Mrs. Roberts was a caregiver.

Cremation services for Mrs. Roberts are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Memorial services for Mrs. Roberts will be announced later.

She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Nathan L. Roberts of Newbern, Tennessee; two sons, Daniel G. Singleteary of Newbern, Tennessee and Stephen C. Younger (Tanya) of Athens, Alabama; five brothers, William Russell "Bugs" Singleteary, Jr. of Obion, Tennessee, Danny B. Singleteary of Trenton, Tennessee, Tyrone Singleteary (Gina) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Stephen Scott of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Harry Lynn Scott of Ridgely, Tennessee; eight sisters, Carolyn Branham (J.P.), Gatesville, Texas, Denise Osborne (Keith) of Newbern, Tennessee, Debbie Bottoms of Newbern, Tennessee, Mary Milliner (Neil) of Friendship, Tennessee, Delores Pruitt of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Kay Foster of Killeen, Texas, Charlotte Forbes of Corinth, Mississippi and Elizabeth Copeland of Dyersburg, Tennessee and three grandchildren Justin Tyler Singleteary, Carley Ann Younger and Emma Grace Younger.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Dale Singleteary and one sister, Jacqueline Singleteary.
