Benny Waller, 74,of Drummonds, Tennessee, died on Monday, July 14, 2025, at his residence in Drummonds, Tennessee.
Born on December 21, 1950, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late L. V. Waller and the late Betty Walters Wright.
Mr. Waller dedicated nearly fifty years of service as the Maintenance Supervisor for The Commercial Appeal newspaper in Memphis. His commitment and leadership left a lasting impression on those he worked with and the institution he helped support for decades.
Outside of work, Benny found his greatest joys in nature. He especially loved fishing—Reelfoot Lake was one of his favorite places to cast a line and spend quiet moments. He also cherished camping trips with his son, making lifelong memories.
Funeral services for Mr. Waller will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 18, 2025, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Mac Daniels. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He is survived by one son, Benjamin Waller (Allison) of Marysville, Washington; two brothers, Mark Waller (Kathy) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Steve Waller of Memphis, Tennessee and one sister, Linda Malugen (Tommy) of Huntingdon, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Waller and Danny Waller.
Honoring Mr. Waller as pallbearers will be family and friends.
