Barbara Frances Seratt Dotson

Barbara Frances Seratt Dotson, 77, of Trenton, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Saturday, April 19, 1947, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Robert Clay Seratt and the late Lura Frances Winchester Seratt.  She was a retired employee of 5-M Clothing Manufacturing in Trenton, Tennessee, where she worked for many years.

On March 4, 1966, she married the love of life, Danny Lee Dotson, and together they built a life full of cherished memories.  Their fifty four years of marriage were a testament to devotion, commitment and unwavering love.

She had a passion for crocheting. With a natural green thumb, her flowers bloomed vibrantly as the love she shared with those around her.  She had a deep affection for her fur babies, who brought her much joy and companionship. Above all, she had a kind and generous heart, always putting others before herself and spreading warmth and friendship wherever she went. Mrs. Dotson was a dedicated member of the Springhill Baptist Church in Trenton, Tennessee.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dotson will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Andy Mayfield. Interment will follow in Mayfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Danny Lamar Dotson (Milissia) of Trenton, Tennessee; two daughters, Kimberly Dawn Haycraft of New Orleans, Louisiana and Angela Renee Burkeen (Bobby) of Trenton, Tennessee; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Lee Dotson; one sister, Pamela Doss; one brother, Robert Houston Seratt and two great-grandchildren.

Honoring Mrs. Dotson as pallbearers will be Danny Dotson, Jr., Brent Wilson, Skylar Wilson, Chris Ernest, Blake Ernest and Mason Parsons.
