Annie Sue Cozart

Annie Sue Cozart, 87, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at AHC of Dyersburg in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, January 13, 1935, in Newbern, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late John Earl "Buck" Sharp and the late Hazel Inez Noel Sharp. Mrs. Cozart was retired from Salant Manufacturing in Obion, Tennessee. She was a member of Fair Havens Church of Christ.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cozart will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Mr. Jason Scott and Mr. Russell Cozart. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation for Mrs. Cozart  will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Russell Cozart (Laneta) of Newbern, Tennessee; three daughters, Sheila Tucker of Memphis, Tennessee, Linda Hardin (Mike) of Newbern, Tennessee and Shevonne Ramsey (Tim) of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, Elmer Sharp (Becky) of Barnhart, Missouri; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Russell "Bill" Cozart. 

Honoring Mrs. Cozart as pallbearers will be David Hamblin, Ben Richardson, Richard Dunivant, David Richardson, Micah Hardin, Jeremy Hinson, Robby Tucker and Mike Hardin. Honorary pallbearers will be James Carroll Edwards, Tim Ramsey, and Terry Clements.
