Annie Frances Walker Howe, 88, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, formerly of Hornbeak, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg, Hospital.
Born Friday, September 24, 1937, in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Walker and the late Norena Hamilton Walker.
She worked in the cafeteria for the South Pemiscot County School System, where she took pride in caring for the children of her community and made lasting friendships with faculty and staff.
Graveside services for Mrs. Howe will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele, Missouri. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Charles Mark Hensley (Christine) of Sandusky, Ohio, her sister-in-law, Brenda Tomlin, one grandson, Tyler Gammons (Kayln Lindsey), one granddaughter, Cassandra Cassavant and four great-grandchildren, Paisley Gammons, Peyton Gammons, Drakellynn Gammons and Chyann Cassavant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Howe; two daughters, Kimberly Hensley and Angelia Hensley, three brothers, W. C. Hamilton, John Dee Walker and Robert Walker and seven sisters, Judy Morris, Sue Evans, Mary Etta Creasy, Carrie Baskins, Fanlee Walker and Mary Ellen Atkins.
