Annie Bell Coleman Jones

Annie B. Jones, 93, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Monday, October 21, 2024, at her residence, in Newbern, Tennessee.

She was born on Monday, February 23, 1931, in Humphreys County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Augie Coleman, Sr. and the late Hattie Mays Coleman. 

Annie B. lived a life rich in love, creativity, and dedication to her family.  She worked for several years at Salant & Salant in Obion, Tennessee and Penguin in Newbern, Tennessee and was a member of Jones Street Church of Christ.  Family was at the heart of Annie Bell's life.  She cherished each moment she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, fully engaging in their many activities and celebrations.  Annie Bell's legacy will live on through her beloved children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jones will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2024, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Bro. Jesse Webb.  Interment will follow at MCCO Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee.  Visitation for Mrs. Jones will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.  Following the service, repass will be held at 329 Lake Street in Newbern, Tennessee.  

She is survived by her son, Reginald Dean Coleman (Sabrina) of Nashville, Tennessee; two daughters, Derecia Marcelle Hannah of Newbern, Tennessee and Paula Jean Jones of Nashville, Tennessee; one sister, Mary Virginia Vaughn (Gene) of Newbern, Tennessee; dear friend, Nicole Harris; special daughter, Brenda Coleman; fifteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a host of family and friends who loved her dearly.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Patrick "J.P." Coleman and Ricky Nelson "Sugar Bear" Coleman; one daughter, Alice Anita Mosley; seven brothers, George Coleman, Henry Coleman, Bobby Coleman, Augie Coleman, Jr., James Coleman, Clint Coleman and Oscar Coleman; two sisters, Beulah Bolden and Lela Thompson and one grandson, Lorenzo Holmes.

Honoring Mrs. Jones as pallbearers will be Steve Tate, NKenge Jones, Kevin Bolden, Joshua South, George Coleman, Jr., Chris Branch, Sylas King, Kylan Perry and Tony Perry.
