Ann Elizabeth Phillips, 72, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Dyersburg Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Friday, August 16, 1946 in Hickman, Kentucky.She was a retired employee of All-Wear and Tyson Foods. Mrs. Phillips was a member of Church Grove Baptist Church.

Graveside services for Mrs. Phillips will be 2:30 PM on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. Ronnie Turner. Visitation for Mrs. Phillips will be Thursday from 1:00 PM until 2:15 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin Jewell Phillips of Newbern, Tennessee; one daughter, Jo Ann Phillips (Justin) of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, Arthur Wayne Powers of Tatumville, Tennessee; three sisters, Faye Brock (Bob) of Finley, Tennessee, Evalena Tucker of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Pearlie Wingate of Newbern, Tennessee and two grandchildren, Taylar Phillips and Christopher Conner.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Glass Powers and a son by choice, Scottie Moss.

Pallbearers will be Justin Hollis, Rev. Ronnie Turner, Speedy Edwards, Joel Goff, Clark Brock and William McDonald.
