Anita Slaughter White

Anita Slaughter White, 80, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Monday, December 14, 1942, in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late George Hall Jones and the late Mary Louise Ellis Jones. Mrs. White served as Dyer County Clerk for twelve years.

Private family services will  be held at a later date. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Arthur George Slaughter of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Gena Abbott of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one sister, Susan Williams of Olive Branch, Mississippi and she was "Nanny" to her three grandsons, Brian Rodgers, Cameron Morris and Blake Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard White, two daughters, Michelle Rodgers and Amy Slaughter and one sister, Linda Moore.
