Alvin Leslie Wilson

Alvin Leslie Wilson, 57, of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Friday, April 28, 2023, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Monday, October 4, 1965, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Joe Leslie Wilson and the late Agnes Marie Duhon  Wilson. Mr. Wilson was an employee of Walmart.

Funeral services for Mr. Wilson will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday,  May 2, 2023,in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Jason Jackson and Mr. Patrick Williams. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 1,  2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Independence Cemetery near Lexington

He is survived by two daughters, Katy Wilson Akers of Newbern, Tennessee and Nancy Wilson of Halls, Tennessee; three brothers, L. J. Wilson of Newbern, Tennessee, Little Joe Wilson, Jr. of Newbern, Tennessee and Jimmy Ray Wilson of Newbern, Tennessee; one sister, Shirley Dale Smith (Jimmy) of Obion, Tennessee and four grandchildren, Landen Akers, Rylee Akers, Jaxxon Demps and Grace Wilson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Teri Gwen Wilson; one brother, Raymond Wilson and four sisters, Joann Wilson, Shirlene Wilson, Pamela Jean Wilson and Mary Ann Wilson.

Honoring Mr. Wilson as pallbearers will be Jonathan Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Zack Wilson, Johnny Wilson, Dave Stewart and Clint Ross.
