Alice A. McKnight McIntosh

Alice A. McKnight McIntosh, 86, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at The Meadows in Nashville, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, July 16, 1936, in Newbern, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Mogie McKnight and the late Beatrice Bethel McIntosh. Mrs. McIntosh was a retired employee of the Internal Medical Clinic in Dyersburg, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Trimble High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Trimble, Tennessee 

Graveside services for Mrs. McIntosh will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Dr. William Oakley. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Durand McIntosh (Tina) of Nashville, Tennessee; one sister, Saundra Combs of Newbern, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Jackson Ray McIntosh, Elizabeth Holly McIntosh, Melissa McIntosh Carpenter, John Robert McIntosh,Taylor Cross, and Savanah Cruse; six great-grandchildren, Noah Stagner, Jack McIntosh, Benjamin McIntosh, William McIntosh, Eliana McIntosh and Emma Carpenter and special mention for the loving care of Mrs. McIntosh by her niece, Holly Combs and her sister, Saundra Combs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Farris R. McIntosh: one son, Jeffery McIntosh; one brother Sidney S. McKnight and three sisters, Violet Stout, Vinie Phillips, and Betty Murray.

The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959.
