Alan Richard Wedel, 75, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the home of daughter in Newbern, Tennessee.
Born on June 18, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late William Louis Wedel and the late Bernice Viola Becker Wedel.
Mr. Wedel was a retired dock worker for Frozen Food Express in Palos Hills, Illinois.
Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Mariann Ferguson Wedel of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, Jim Wedel of Glendale, Arizonia; one daughter, Kelly Ferguson (Robby) of Newbern, Tennessee; one step-son, Dan Ferguson (Mandy) of Brookfield, Illinois, three grandchildren, Addison Nicole, Emily Ferguson and Noah Ferguson and his fur babies who were his constant companions, Sassy and Vester.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Wedel and Leroy Wedel; two stepbrothers, Kurt Schubert and Robert Schubert and one sister, Mary Blameuser.
