Shirley Lavonne "Cookie" Simpson

Shirley "Cookie" Lavonne Simpson, 56, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at her residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, April 4, 1963 in Dyersburg, Tennessee she was the daughter of the late Dalton "Buddy" Lynn Henson and the late Shirley Inez Hollis. Ms. Simpson was a home-maker.

Graveside service for Ms. Simpson will be 10:00 AM on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg,Tennessee.Officiating the service will be Rev. Nick Wright. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Michael Paul Garner of Gates, Tennessee and Robert Dale Morgan,II of Dyersburg, Tennessee, two daughters, Tabatha Lynne Morgan of Corinth, Mississippi and Brandy Estelle Garner of Dyersburg, Tennessee, her step-mother, Barbara June Henson of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Dalton Edward "Scotty" Henson of Dyersburg, Tennessee; three sisters, Sonjia Darlene Garner- Darnell of Newbern, Tennessee, Rita Garner-Glascoff of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and Amanda Renee Kuykendall of Dyersburg, Tennessee and eight grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul David Garner, Dalton Lynn Henson and Steve David Henson and one sister, Sharon Ruby White.

Pallbearers will be Michael Garner, Robert Morgan, II, Ricky Simpson, Joseph Mosley, Robert Morgan, I and Randall Owens.
