Scotty Rogers Obituary

Scotty Gene Rogers, Sr., 50 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Friday, February 2, 2018, at his residence in Newbern, Tennessee.

Born Tuesday, February 28, 1967 in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of Thomas Ray Rogers and the late Shirley Jean Richardson Rogers. He was an employee of the Dyer County Highway Department but he was a farmer at heart. He farmed for most of his life and loved to "Drive them Tractors." A beloved father and grandfather, he was always there when his family needed him for anything. His family and friends will truly miss him and they will be waiting to see him again and hit those backroads. LOVE YOU DADDY!!!

Visitation for Mr. Rogers will be held Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Vicky Sue Overby Rogers of Dyersburg, Tennessee, one son, Scotty Gene Rogers, II (B. J.) of Alamo, Tennessee; one daughter, Brittany Nicole Rogers (Joseph Maxwell) of Newbern, Tennessee; his father, Thomas Ray Rogers of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one sister, Cathy Lynn Blalock of Dyersburg, Tennessee and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Jean Richardson Rogers and one brother, Tommy Ray Rogers.
