Ruth Wanda Scobey

Ruth Wanda Scobey, 89, of Obion, Tennessee died on Monday, March 11, 2019, at Baptist Hospital in Union City,Tennessee.

Born Friday, August 16, 1929, in Obion County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Burton Fields and the late Euna Bass Fields.

She was home-maker and a lifetime member of Obion Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Scobey will be 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 14, 2019, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Daniel Hodges and Mr. Eugene Hudgins. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery in Elbridge,Tennessee. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by one son, David Scobey (Sheila) of Obion, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Clint Scobey (Ericka), Kristen Dick (Dustin), Angela Hodges (Daniel) and Amanda Lee (Chris) and eight great-grandchildren

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her husband, Glen M. Scobey and one daughter, Wanda Faye Jenkins.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Austin, Billy Scobey, Barry Scobey, Allen Scobey, Donald Bloxom and Eugene Hudgins.
