Ruth Ann Jones

Ruth Ann Jones, 90 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Dyersburg Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born on October 19, 1927 in Newbern, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Jones and the late Blanche Bryant Jones. Mrs. Jones was the treasurer of General Appliance and Furniture Company where she worked for fifty seven years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jones will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 30, 2018 in the Chapel Of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Rev. Johnny Michael. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by her nephew, James H. Michael, Jr. and his wife, Alma Ruth of Newbern, Tennessee and a good friend, James H. McClure of Dyersburg, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Evelin Michael; two brothers, Newton Jones and Henry Jones and a great-niece, Melinda Ann "Missy" Michael.

Pallbearers will be Joe Yates, Tony Marotti, O'Neal Spoon, Jimmy Borden, Keith Ashley, Dick Barlow and Alan Tippit. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Yates, James Cooper, Wendell West and Mark Lamb.
