Opal West,, 80, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Monday, February 13, 1939 in Newbern, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Bryant Weaver and the late Ethel Bass Weaver. Mrs. West a retired employee of All-Wear Manufacturing and Wesley Homes of Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Graveside services for Mrs. West will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Rehoboth Cemetery. Officiating this service will be Patrick Williams. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandye Coleman and Sharie Coleman both of Newbern, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Reign Britton of Lexington, Tennessee. Dustin Forrester (Mary Beth) of Paris, Tennessee and Bradston Coleman of Newbern, Tennessee and two great-grand children, Knox Forrester and Presley Forrester both of Paris, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill West.
