Odean Thornton Rasberry

Odean Thornton Rasberry, 75, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at her residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Tuesday, November 9, 1943 in Winnsboro, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Otis Thornton and the late Eveline Hill Thornton. Odean received her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee School of Social Work. She was the retired director of social services for the Memphis Mental Health Institute and a member of the Dyersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

A celebration of life service for Mrs. Rasberry will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 30, 2018 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband of fifty four years, Gaylon Rasberry of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, Mark Rasberry of Metamora, Illinois; one daughter, Gina Rasberry of Gallatin, Tennessee; one daughter in law, Laura Rasberry; one sister, Annie Sanders of Winnsboro, Louisiana; one niece, Portia Graney; and one grandson, Jonmarc Rasberry.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be directed to the Salvation Army of Dyersburg, 328 South Mill Avenue, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38024.
