Nannie Mae Shoffner Obituary

Nannie Mae Shoffner, 86, of Trimble, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at her residence.

Born Thursday, March 17, 1932 in Obion County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Claude David Jones and the late Susie Alberta Tanner Jones. She read her Bible everyday because one day she might not be able to read it anymore. She raised three children while following her husband all over the world as he served his country. She was an avid gardener and loved growing flowers (saying the British had nothing on her and her flower beds). She loved her Lord and Savior most but dearly loved her family sacrificing all for them. Mrs. Shoffner was a member of the Trimble United Methodist Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shoffner will be 2:00 PM on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Trimble United Methodist Church. Officiating this service will be Rev. John "Buck" Carroll. Internment will follow in Pierce Cemetery in Trimble, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Trimble United Methodist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of sixty four years, F. C. Shoffner of Trimble, Tennessee; two sons, John Shoffner (Rosa) of Newbern, Tennessee and David Shoffner of Union City, Tennessee; one daughter, Nancy Shoffner Pope (Bryan) of Trimble, Tennessee; one brother, Jesse B. Jones (Norma) of Jackson, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Bryce Pope, Nina Pope White (Jason), Carrie Shoffner, Amber Shoffner, Jenna Shoffner, Tansye Autry (Michael) and Cassye Thompson (Adam) and ten great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Pope, Bryce Pope, Bruce Pope, Greg Donaldson, Chris Young and Steven Parker. Honorary pallbearer will be Ray Burton.

The family ask that memorials be directed to the Trimble United Methodist Church, 308 East Mitchell Street, Trimble, Tennessee 38259.
