Michael Eugene McKinnie, 48 of Lexington, Kentucky died on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his residence in Lexington, Kentucky.
Born Thursday, June 4, 1970 in Bolivar, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Charlie Louis McKinnie, Sr. and the late Lucille Moore McKinnie. Mr. McKinnie was passionate about his job at Quad Graphics and cared deeply for his work family. He was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats sports fan. His hobbies included watching movies and visiting new restaurants. Most of all he was dedicated to his family and his greatest joy was the time that they shared. When living in Newbern, Tennessee he attended Jones Street Church of Christ and after moving to Lexington he attended Glen Arvin Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Mr. McKinnie will be 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Jones Street Church of Christ in Newbern, Tennessee with Minister Terence Mannis officiating. Interment will follow in MCCO Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Jones Street Church of Christ.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, JoAnn Walker McKinnie; two sons, Michael Lee of Jackson, Tennessee and DaVon "Trez" Herron of Newbern, Tennessee; one step-son, Victor Walker of Lexington, Kentucky; two daughters, Mikeeia McKinnie of Dyersburg, Tennessee
and Briannia McKinnie of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two step daughters, Takisha Walker of St. Louis, Missouri and Victoria McElroy (Demitrius) of Louisville, Kentucky; three brothers, Charlie McKinnie, Jr. (Connie) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Johnny McKinnie (Connie) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Jessie McKinnie of Jackson, Tennessee; two, sisters, Bobbie Greene of Jackson, Tennessee and Jessie Mae Roads of Bolivar, Tennessee; one grandson, Landon Herron; two step-grandsons, Joaquin
Quilling and William Holmes and two step-granddaughters, Demitria McElroy and Vanessa McElroy. He also leaves a host of love ones including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Barry McKinnie.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Eugene McKinnie, Richard Lee McKinnie, Tyrone L. Woods, Charles Chester McKinnie, Arthur Eugene McKinnie, Algie Jarrett, Jr., Aaron Moore, Jr. and Carlos Road.
