Michael Dwayne King

Michael Dwayne King, 65, of Dyer, Tennessee died on Friday, April 19, 2019, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Friday, December 25, 1953 in Dyersburg, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Rev. Alton King and the late Betty Hurt King. Mr. King was a retired truck driver for Cowan Logistics.

Funeral services for Mr. King will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Jerry Stafford, Interment will follow in Yorkville Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Glascoff King of Dyer, Tennessee; three daughters, Lisa Marie Kolwyck(Jason) of Dyer, Tennessee, Misty Haynes(Cliff) of Newbern, Tennessee and Christie Valles (Jeff Clark) of Friendship,Tennessee; four brothers, Junior King (Tracy) of Sidonia, Tennessee, Jon Thomas King (Shirley) of Yorkville, Tennessee, Aquila King (Michelle) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and John David King ( Mikka) of Yorkville, Tennessee; two sisters, Dianna Bradford (Richard) of RoEllen, Tennessee and Rebekah Staggs (Roger) of Ripley, Tennessee; ten grandchildren, Brandon Young, Tiffiani Terry, Michael Byrd, Preston Haynes, Maria Valles, Triana Haynes, Clifton Haynes, Adriana Valles, Lukas Valles and Jacob Valles and one great-grandchild, William Dwayne Terry.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon Kay King and Betty Thorpe.

Pallbearers will John Paul Thorpe, Jeffery King, Joshua King, Logan Terry, David Glascoff, Ricky Hollis, John David King, Jr., and Ryan Staggs. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Byrd, Paul Glascoff and Terrance McDougal.
