Michael Floyd Hogg

Michael Floyd Hogg, 66 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Monday, February 5, 2018, at Tennova Healthcare-Dyersburg Regional in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Monday, March 26, 1951 in Dyer, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Homer Floyd Hogg and the late Vera Hollingsworth Hogg. He was a retired employee of Eaton. Mr. Hogg was an avid sports fan with the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball team being his favorite team, he enjoyed fishing but the love of his life was his grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mr. Hogg will be 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Serge Shoemaker officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Melinda Bryant Hogg of Newbern, Tennessee; three sons, Jason Wayne Bryant (Christia King); Chad Hogg (Felicia) and Kevin Wade Hogg (Jordan) all of Newbern, Tennessee; one daughter, Michelle Whitehead (Randy, Sr.) of Bradford, Tennessee; daughter by choice, Bailey Bryant of Newbern, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Randy Whitehead, Jr., Jason Lane Bryant, Clayton Bryant, Natalie Lynne Hogg, Caleb Michael Hogg, Jameson Paul Wadley, Benton Heath Thorpe, Jaxon Davis Thorpe, Piper Louise Hogg, Hunter Batey, Addison Batey, Brenden Batey and Harley Raymer and one great-grandchild, Addison Beth Whitehead.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Brandon Hogg.

Pallbearers will be Joe Parkin, Billy Bryant, Donnie Bryant, Andy Cardoza, David Green and Gary Hadley.
