Marvin R. Castleman, Sr., 92, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center in Huntingdon, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, January 13, 1927 in Elbridge, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Clint Castleman and the late Hester Tidwell Castleman. Mr. Castleman was a farmer and retired self-employed electrician. Mr. Castleman proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Graveside services for Mr. Castleman will be 1:30 PM on Friday, November 29, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating the service will be Rev. Ronnie Turner. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He is survived by two sons, Rickey Castleman (Kathy) of Newbern, Tennessee and Paul Castleman of Newbern, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Lisa Capps (Johnny), Allen Kolwyck (Charlotte) Paula Houston (David) and Stacey Castleman; eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Averitte Castleman; two brothers, Raymond Castleman and Dick Castleman and one sister, Lola Nerren.
Pallbearers will be Allen Kolwyck, Johnny Capps, Dayton Capps, Clint Capps, Chad Capps and Joe Yates.
