Lois Hooten Hicks, 80 of Tiptonville, Tennessee died on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at her residence in Tiptonville, Tennessee.
Born Sunday, February 6, 1938 in Tiptonville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Henry Clay Hooten and the late Gertrude Llewellyn Douthit Hooten. She was a retired employee of Henry I. Seigel.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hicks will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Lakeview Baptist Church in Tiptonville, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. Clayton Mahan. Interment will follow in Lake Memorial Gardens in Tiptonville, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Lakeview Baptist Church in Tiptonville, Tennessee.
She is by survived three sons, Michael Hicks of Tiptonville, Tennessee, Tommy Hicks (Lisa) of Hornbeak, Tennessee and Ross VanTrump (Wendy) of Ewin, Tennessee; one daughter, Sheila Salmon (David) of Tiptonville, Tennessee; three sisters, Rosie Jackson of Newark, Arkansas, Doris Crittenton of Dresden, Tennessee and Alice Moore of Ridgely, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grand children.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Elzie Hicks; one daughter, Barbara Hicks VanTrump; one daughter-in-law, Misty Hicks and one sister, Catherine McDonald.
Pallbearers will be Ross VanTrump, Derek Hicks, Tommy Hicks, Mitch Hicks, Mike Hicks and Rico Hicks. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Salmon, Claude Salmon and Jerry Strain.
