Lanita Kay Simpson, 74, of Finley, Tennessee died on Friday, January 3, 2020, at her residence in Finley, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, July 26,1945 in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Leroy White and the late Thelma Pinkley White. Mrs. Simpson was a homemaker and a member of Junction Church of God..

Funeral services for Mrs. Simpson will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 6, 2020 in the Chapel Of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Robert Craig and Rev.Kenny Chessor. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2020, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of fifty-eight years, Bob Simpson of Finley, Tennessee; four sons, Joey Simpson of Finley, Tennessee, Terry Simpson (Angie) of Finley, Tennessee, Gary Simpson (Tammy) of Friendship, Tennessee and Chris Simpson (Hillary) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Michelle Simpson of Newbern, Tennessee and Lisa Kimbrell of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Thomas White of Finley, Tennessee; one sister, Helen Williams of Dyersburg, Tennessee; six grand children and a host of great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Smith and Dorothy White, twin brothers and one great-grandchild, Lane Patterson.

Honoring Mrs.Simpson as pallbearers will be Scotty Simpson, Lee Stover, Jeffery Patterson, Bubba Anderson, Cody Anderson and Chase Allen.
