Kenneth E. Glidewell

Kenneth E. Glidewell, 74, of Yorkville, Tennessee died on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Memphis VA Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee.

Born Saturday, June 10, 1944 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late William Earl Glidewell and the late Charleen Jones Glidewell. Mr. Glidewell was a retired employee of the Gibson County Sheriff's Department, member of the Tennessee Constables Association and member of the Trimble Assembly of God Church. He was a United States Army Veteran who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.

Funeral services for Mr. Glidewell will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. James Roberts. Interment will follow in Yorkville Cemetery in Yorkville, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by one son, David E. Glidewell (Tammy) of Newbern, Tennessee; two brothers, David Glidewell (Gail) and Roger Glidewell (Shirley) all of Yorkville, Tennessee; one sister, Diana Riffey of Memphis, Tennessee and two grand-daughters, Chelsea Glidewell and Mikayla Glidewell both of Yorkville, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Lana Glidewell.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Riffey, Ethan Yocum, Mickey Robertson, Chris Norman, Johnny Davis and Sandy Hill.
