Jodie Allen Adkins

Jodie Allen Adkins, 35, of Yorkville, Tennessee, died on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at his residence in Yorkville, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, May 31, 1984 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Jimmy Wayne Adkins and Donna Lynn Ashmore Hinkle. Jodie enjoyed all type of sports, fishing, was an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers but most of all he loved the times that he spent with his son, Mason.

Funeral services for Mr. Adkins will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 10, 2019 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be his brother-in-law, Dallas Rush. Interment will follow in Yorkville Cemetery in Yorkville, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Mason Allen Adkins of Newbern, Tennessee; his mother and step-father, Donna and Jim Hinkle of Yorkville, Tennessee; three sisters, Tiffany Dawn Adkins of Memphis, Tennessee, Kimberly Lashea Rush (Dallas) of Jackson, Tennessee and Megan Nichole Nichols (Kaleb) of Wesley Chapel, Flordia and his maternal grandmother, Alma Ashmore of Yorkville, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Wayne Adkins; maternal grandfather, Maxie Allen Ashmore and his paternal grandparents, Jodie and Alice Almeddie Anderson Adkins.

Pallbearers will be Chad Greene, Jeremy Claybrook, Jason Bledsoe, Josh Cozart, Brad Sexton, Mike Gregory, Brandon Higdon and Jason Ledbetter.
