Jean Rushing

Ava Jean Rushing, 74 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Friday, January 19, 2018, at her residence in Newbern, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, February 25, 1943 in Kentucky. She was a retired employee of All-Wear and member of Union Grove Pentecostal Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rushing will be 1;15 PM on Sunday, January 21, 2018 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Tim Fair. Interment will follow in Church Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 PM until 1:15.

She is survived by her husband, Coy Rushing of Newbern, Tennessee; one son, Steven Rushing of Nashville, Tennessee; two step-daughters, Anna Jean Newman of Alamo, Tennessee and Margaret Melder of Newbern, Tennessee; two sisters; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one step-son, Rowdy Rushing and one step-daughter, Sherry Rushing.

Pallbearers will be Mark Pledge, Curtis Melder, Justin Lynn and Cody Dennison.
