James "Hack" McCullough, 99 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Friday, September 26, 1919 in Newbern, Tennessee, he was the son of the late James E. McCullough and the late Maud May Smith McCullough. He was a self employed painter and previous property owner of McCullough Apartments located in Newbern, Tennessee. Mr. McCullough was an avid hunter and fisherman.
A celebration of life service for Mr. McCullough will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the Newbern Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Cadinha of Escalon, California; one grand-daughter, Kimberly Simmons of Escalon, California and four great-grandchildren, Krystal Lawrence, Kayla Lawrence, Dustin Lawrence and Dillon Simmons.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette "Red" McCullough and two brothers, Col. William McCullough and John Ben McCullough.
