James "Bubba" Seratt

James Lee "Bubba" Seratt, 46 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Saturday, August 11, 2019 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital.

Born Friday, March 30, 1973 in Niles, Michigan. Bubba was a graduate of Dyer County High School.

A celebration of life service for Mr. Seratt will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Don Williams. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by his mother, Anita J. Shelton of Newbern, Tennessee; one sister, Beverly June Seratt of Dyersburg, Tennessee and three step-sisters, Shannon White of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Amanda Etheridge of Milan ,Tennessee and Ashley Russell of Dyersburg, Tennessee;his step-mother, Carolyn Murphy of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his grandparents, Martha Crunk of Niles, Michigan, Peggy Scarece of Newbern, Tennessee and JoAnn Eskew of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his niece, Madison Seratt of Newbern, Tennessee and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, James T. Seratt and his grandparents, George T. Seratt and James Rayburn Hawkins.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959.
