George David Viar left this earth to go to his Heavenly Resting place on March 23, 2019 at the age of 61. David was born to the late George W. Viar and Betty Jo Hurley Viar on February 2, 1958. David served our country proudly in the U. S. Navy stationed primarily in San Diego, California. When he finished his tour of duty, he drove his motorcycle cross country to Dyersburg, Tennessee where his parents had settled. David and his parents attended RoEllen Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Following his parents' deaths David relocated to Vienna, West Virginia, his childhood home.
David enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed pranking and playing with the nieces and nephews, which always led to his contagious laughter and smile. He enjoyed his professional years as an EMT.
As his life progressed, David experienced several disabling diseases that limited his life on this earth. Still in his last days he responded to voices of those he loved with an affirmative nod. He never forgot the joy of love.
David is survived by two sisters; Patty (Jeff) Wellington of Clarksville, Tennessee and Dianne (Marvin) Bennett of Vienna, West Virginia. He also leaves Patty's children Misty (Gary) Thomason and their children Jordyn, Brooklyn and Madyson; and Hayes (Lilly) Wellington and their children Kylie and Meadow. Dianne's children are: Heather (Allen) Archer of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee along with their twins AJ and Madison, Ashley (George) Markland of Palmer, Alaska. David will be missed by cousins and friends who will continue to cherish his memory.
