Elsie May Monroe, 98, of Dyersburg,Tennessee, died Sunday, October 13, 2019, at Harborview Nursing Home Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born on Sunday, November 14, 1920 in Savannah, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas Mancell and the late Cassie Rosetta Smith Mancell. Mrs. Monroe was a home-maker

Memorial visitation for Mrs. Monroe will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by three sons, John T. Monroe (Janet) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Don F. Monroe ( Nicki) of Eddyville, Kentucky and William Calvin Monroe of Dyersburg, Tennessee and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Loyal Monroe; one daughter, Barbara Rosetta Reedy; one son, Tony Dale Monroe; three sisters, Exie Pylent, Mary Lewis and Louise Junior and three brothers, Bernice Mancell, Jake Mancell and Bill Mancell.
