Dorothy Virginia Ray King, 83 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Friday, October 12, 2018, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, February 14, 1935 in Decatur County , Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Elvis Ray and the late Bertha Smothers Ray. She was a home-maker

Graveside services for Mrs. King will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Yorkville Cemetery. Officiating this service will be Rev. Chuck Carter. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Virginia Ann Riley of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, Bill Ray of Parsons, Tennessee; three sisters, Gwen Cunningham, Lucy Ray and Ramona Ray all of Parsons, Tennessee and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl "Bob" King; one son, Elvis Chester Jones; one daughter, Dorothy Marie Marshall and three brothers, Lloyd Ray, Harold Ray and David Ray.
