Darrell Wayne Ross

Darrell Wayne Ross, 69 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis, Tennessee.

Born Tuesday, September 28, 1948 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Cecil Ross and Margaret Dennison Ross Fanning. Mr. Ross was a retired carrier for the United States Postal Service in Dyersburg, Tennessee and was a cattle farmer. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Funeral services for Mr. Ross will be 3:00 PM on Monday, January 15, 2018 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Perry Grills. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He is survived by one son, Clint Ross of Newbern, Tennessee; one daughter, Robin Alford (Paul) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his mother, Margaret Fanning of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, Steve Ross of Newbern, Tennessee; one sister, Sheila Smith (Phillip) of Newbern, Tennessee and six true loves of his life, Steven Alford, Blake Alford, Aiken Alford, Alli Alford, Avenly Ross and Viviann Ross.

Pallbearers will be David Allen, J. C. Grills, Hank Gray, Carey Hall, Richard Ross and Phillip Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Anderson, Steve Anderson, James Murphy and Bubba Ozment.
