Damon Violet Ballow Wade, 82, of Newbern,Tennessee died on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Union City Health and Rehabilitation Center in Union City, Tennessee.
Born Sunday, November 22, 1936 in Obion County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Robert Clarence Ballow and the late Mainie Francis Couch Ballow Cox. Mrs. Wade was a home-maker and member of the Newbern First Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wade will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 7, 2019 in the Chapel of Brown Funeral Home in Clinton, Kentucky. Officiating this service will be Dr. William P. Oakley. Interment will follow in Harmony Cemetery in Clinton, Kentucky. Visitation for Mrs. Wade will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, Tennessee and on Friday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home in Clinton, Kentucky.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of sixty-three years, Charles Perry Wade, Sr. of Newbern, Tennessee; one son, Charles "Chuck" Wade, Jr. (Cindy) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Charlotte Bolton (Charlie) of Cayce, Kentucky and Robbie Robertson (Mickey) of Trimble, Tennessee; two step-sisters, Emily Wagner of Fulton, Kentucky and Ann Kern of Vero Beach, Flordia; two step-brothers, Travis Cox of Fulton, Kentucky and Vanoy Cox of South Fulton, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father, A. L. Cox; one step- brother, Howard Cox and one step-sister, Demtra Cox.
Pallbearers will be Robert Lynch, Richie Fowlkes, Victor Bolton, David Pullen, Tracy Wade and Mark Kelly.
