Dale T. Pogue

Dale T. Pogue, 88, of Trimble, Tennessee died on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Friday, November 21, 1930 in Dyer County, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Lawrence Pogue and the late Esther Keeling Pogue.  Mr. Pogue retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Tech Sergeant in 1972. After his retirement from the Air Force, he worked as a security guard for Dyersburg Fabrics and was a courier for First Citizens National Bank.  Mr. Pogue was a member of the Newbern First Baptist Church, Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion.
Funeral services for Mr. Pogue will be 1:30 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2019 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Danny Klutts. Interment will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of sixty nine years, Bettie Greene Pogue of Trimble, Tennessee; one son,  Carter W. Pogue (Emma) of Mary Esther, Florida; one daughter, Kimberly Pogue-Russell (Robert W.) of Trimble, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Scotty Gibson (Heather), Shiloh Pogue (Ashlie), Eric Pogue and Lymwill Pogue and five great-grandchildren, Ashley Gibson, Allie Gibson, Avianna Pogue, Micah Pogue and Christian Pogue.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Robert David Gibson and three half brothers, Bennett Pogue, Darnell Marshall and Preston Marshall.
Pallbearers will be Guy House, Larry Smith, Allen, Jimmy Keeton, Mack Kail and Tom Foster.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Disabled American Veterans Association, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, Kentucky  41076.
