Christine Johnson

Christine Johnson, 98 of Dyer, Tennessee, formerly of Greenfield, Tennessee died on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the home of  her daughter  in Dyer, Tennessee.
Born Sunday, February 13, 1921 in Obion County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Duvall Thurman and the late Lou Ellen Tate Thurman. Mrs. Johnson was a retired employee of Obion County General Hospital Dietary Department and member of  the Greenfield Church of Christ.
Cremation services are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Porch (Larry) of Dyer, Tennessee; one son, Carl Lynn Johnson (Doris) of Memphis, Tennessee;  six  grandchildren; eight great -grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Hunt Johnson; one son, Stanley Ray Johnson, three brothers, Arly Thurman, Vernon Thurman and Truman Thurman and three sisters, Sade Acerra, Lorene Caughran and Jessie Ashmore.
