Bobby Gene Dowland

Bobby Gene Dowland, 66 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Friday, November 23, 2018, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Tuesday, July 29, 1952 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Billy Dowland and Daisy Dowland Sutton. He was a retired employee of Walton's Office Products.

Graveside services for Mr. Dowland will be 1:00 PM on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. Cloie Caviness. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Autry Dowland of Newbern, Tennessee; his mother, Daisy Tharp Dowland Sutton of Newbern, Tennessee; two step-sons, Lynn Compton of Newbern, Tennessee and Cody Compton of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, Billy Edward Dowland (Marian) of Murphy, North Carolina; one niece Jenny Rogers (Stephen) of Cumming, Georgia; three great -nephews, Andrew Rogers, Bryson Rogers and Matthew Rogers all of Cummings, Georgia; four step-grandchildren and numerous fur babies.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Dowland.
