Betty Jane Chilcutt

Betty Jane Chilcutt, 81, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.

Born Tuesday, October 5, 1937 in Beulah, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lonzo Turnbow and the late Annie Lee Hensley Turnbow. She was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics and member of the Newbern First Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Chilcutt will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2019 in the Chapel of the Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Scott Bloodworth. Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Visitation for Mrs. Chilcutt will be Thursday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Patricia Adkins (Don) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Carolyn Wilson of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, Robert Turnbow (May) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and eight grandchildren, Sandy Tarkington (Robert), Tiffany Peevyhouse (Patrick), Lisa Curtis (David), Bret Darby (Maeleea), Lacey Wade, Joshua Wilson (Ashley), Kristen Chilcutt (Kelly) and Madalyn Chilcutt , twenty great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Junior Chilcutt; one son, Mike Chilcutt; five brothers, Felix Turnbow, Malcom Turnbow, Joe Turnbow , J. D. Turnbow and Burnis Turnbow; two sisters, Helen Azlin and Inez Cantwell; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Community Cancer Fund, P.O. Box # 1055, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38025.
